Privacy Policy
Last updated — 27 August 2026
1. Who we are & what this covers
The Healthy Mummy Pty Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), owned by Hairmop Pty Ltd, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This policy explains how we handle personal information across The Healthy Mummy’s Australian services:
- our blog at www.healthymummy.com;
- our shop and members’ area at secure.healthymummy.com; and
- The Healthy Mummy mobile app for iOS and Android, distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
We refer to these together as the “Healthy Mummy services”. This single policy replaces our previous, separate app privacy notice. It sits alongside our Terms & Conditions.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using the Healthy Mummy services, purchasing our products, or subscribing to our plans, you agree to the handling of your personal information as described here.
2. Information we collect
The kinds of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us. They may include:
Information you give us
- Identity & contact details — your name, email address, postal address, date of birth, and phone number.
- Account & profile information — your login credentials, subscription and plan details, and the preferences and goals you set in your account or app profile.
- Health & fitness information — information you choose to provide such as weight, measurements, activity, dietary preferences, and fitness goals, and information about your family and children where relevant to the plans you use.
- Photos & videos — images or videos you upload, such as progress photos or content you post in community or challenge features.
- Purchase information — records of the products, plans, and subscriptions you buy. Your card and bank details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment providers and the app stores; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Communications — the content of messages, survey responses, reviews, and support requests you send us.
Information we collect automatically
- Device & technical data — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, device identifiers, and crash and diagnostic data.
- Usage data — pages, screens, and content viewed, features used, and the date, time, and duration of your visits and sessions.
- Approximate location — general geographic location derived from your IP address.
Sensitive information. Health and fitness information is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act. We collect it only where you provide it to receive our plans and content, and by providing it you consent to us handling it for the purposes described in this policy. You can choose not to provide it, though some features may then be unavailable.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:
- directly from you when you register, subscribe, buy a product, set up your profile, upload content, complete a form or survey, comment on the blog, or contact support;
- automatically as you browse our websites or use the app, through cookies, analytics SDKs, and similar technologies (see section 4);
- from third parties such as our payment, marketing, and analytics providers, and from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Where we collect personal information about you from someone other than you, we take reasonable steps to notify you of the circumstances of collection where it is reasonable to do so.
4. Cookies, analytics & tracking technologies
Our websites and app use cookies and similar technologies (including SDKs, pixels, and identifiers) to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, understand how the Healthy Mummy services are used, and deliver and measure marketing. Some of these are set by the third-party providers listed in section 6, and some persist between sessions.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and manage app tracking through your device settings (for example, limiting ad tracking or resetting your advertising identifier). Disabling some of these may affect how parts of the Healthy Mummy services work.
Analytics opt-out. We use Google Analytics to understand how our websites and app are used. You can opt out of Google Analytics in your browser using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage in-app analytics through your device privacy settings.
5. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- provide, personalise, and improve our content, plans, and services across the blog, shop, and app;
- create and manage your account, subscriptions, and orders, and take payment;
- send you plan notifications, reminders, statements, and service messages;
- respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
- send you marketing communications and tailored offers about our products, events, and promotions (you can opt out at any time);
- measure and improve our marketing, website, and app performance;
- maintain the security and integrity of our services and prevent fraud; and
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We may combine and de-identify personal information for reporting, statistical, business-improvement, and marketing purposes. Any aggregated or de-identified information we share with third parties will not identify you.

7. The Healthy Mummy app
The following applies specifically to the mobile app. As declared in the app’s Google Play Data Safety listing, the app may collect your name, email address, and postal address, photos and videos, and health & fitness information.
Device permissions
With your consent, the app may request access to device features to provide certain functionality — for example your camera and photo library (to upload progress photos or videos) and notifications. You can review and change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Push notifications
If you enable them, we send push notifications for plan reminders, content updates, and offers. You can turn these off in your device settings at any time.
In-app purchases
Subscriptions and purchases made in the app are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive confirmation and status of your purchase, but not your full payment-card details.
App-store data & account deletion
Apple and Google require us to describe the data the app collects in their store listings (Apple’s Privacy Nutrition Labels and Google Play’s Data Safety section); those disclosures are kept consistent with this policy. Account and data deletion is handled through our website rather than in the app — see Your rights & choices below.
8. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers are located outside Australia, or store data on servers outside Australia. This means your personal information may be disclosed to, and stored in, overseas locations — primarily the United States, where providers such as Kinsta, Google, Meta, Klaviyo, HappyFox, Microsoft, Hotjar, Metorik, and Braintree operate.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
9. How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Information is transmitted between our websites, the app, and our providers over encrypted connections using current TLS (transport layer security) encryption, and access to personal information is restricted to those who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You play an important role too — please keep your account password confidential and let us know immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
10. Your rights & choices
- Access & correction — you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also update much of it directly in your account or app profile. We may need to verify your identity first.
- Marketing opt-out — every marketing email and SMS includes an unsubscribe option, and you can ask us to stop marketing to you at any time.
- Withdraw consent — you can withdraw consent to our use or disclosure of your personal information, though this may mean we can no longer provide some services.
- Deletion — you can delete your account and personal information through our website (this applies to app users too). The steps are set out below.
How to delete your account
Account deletion is handled through our website (including for app users). For your security there is no one-click deletion — you must confirm the request by email, and your account cannot be deleted while a subscription is active. The steps are:
- Cancel all active subscriptions first. While you have any active subscription, your account cannot be deleted — so cancel them all before you begin.
- Request deletion. Contact our support team at [email protected] from your registered email address and ask us to delete your account and personal data. We log this as a data-erasure request against your email address.
- Confirm by email. We send a confirmation link to your registered email address. Open it and click the link to verify the request — until you confirm, nothing is deleted.
- We erase your data. Once you confirm, we erase the personal information we hold about you and close your account, except information we are required to keep by law (for example, completed order and tax records).
To exercise any of your other rights, contact us using the details in section 14. There are limited circumstances where access or correction may be refused (for example where it would be unlawful); we will explain our reasons if that occurs.
11. Children’s privacy
The Healthy Mummy services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where you provide information about your children or family as part of a plan, we handle it under this policy. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Third-party links
Our websites and app may contain links to third-party sites and social media features that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third party before providing your information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version will always be available on our websites and in the app, and the personal information we hold will be governed by the most current policy. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Please check back periodically.
14. Contact us & complaints
If you have any questions or a complaint about this policy or how we handle your personal information, or if you would like to access or correct your information, please contact our customer support team:
- Email — [email protected]
- Post — The Healthy Mummy Pty Limited, Level 1, 15-25 Cooper Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia
