Step Ups

     

Starting Position

Find a step or sturdy bench that you can repeatedly step on to. Stand in front of the step and place your hands on your hips. Engage your core by tucking your belly button in towards your spine and prepare to step up.

Execution

Place your left foot on the step followed by your right foot so that both feet are now on the step. Now step down with your left foot followed by your right foot and repeat. After 30 seconds change sides to start on the opposite leg. The speed in which you step up and step down will determine the intensity of the exercise.
